The Yearling Nursery School Infant/Toddler Program nurtures your child’s development to help them reach their full potential. Our loving, patient and experienced teachers provide your child with undivided care and support. The Infant/Toddler curriculum offers activities that encourage your child’s growth across developmental domains. Some of the focus areas for our Infant/Toddler Program are:

Learning about their feelings, the feelings of others, and age-appropriate interactions

Expressing needs and wants by communicating through gestures, sounds and eventually words

Using baby sign language to foster communication skills

Motor development; picking up small objects, throwing a ball, stacking blocks, walking and running

Learning simple problem solving through exploration

Encouraging exploration and independence giving children a feeling competence and pride in what they can do

An introduction to routines and transitions providing a feeling of predictability and security
